About The Founder
Wraith Systems, L.L.C. was founded by Jason McAlister, who has worked in the aerospace industry and has experience as an advanced tactical jet instructor in the Naval Reserves. Prior to founding Wraith Systems, he worked for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics as a leading consultant responsible for courseware development, Integrated System Design projects, and desktop simulation development and implementation.
Mac has over 23 years of military service, beginning his career as a Reconnaissance Marine before transitioning into aviation where he flew the AV-8B Harrier. Upon leaving active duty, he transferred to the United States Navy and was a flight instructor in the T-45, holding the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Mac holds a B.A. from the University of Nevada - Reno.

The name came from several different factors.
Primarily, Wraith is what I thought the F-35 Lightening II should have been named. The definition of a Wraith is an apparition, a specter or phantom - barely visible, shadow-like. It also has a threatening and ominous undertone what better name for a low-observable, lethal aircraft?
Second, the name and connotation is a tip of the hat to my USMC prior service days as a Force Reconnaissance Marine. The ability to become Wraith-like while conducting clandestine operations and remain undetected was a paramount and prized skill in my former life.
Finally, we would be remiss not to acknowledge or recognize the fact that we have been blessed and guided in this endeavor. A lesser known definition of Wraith is a Spirit...and in that vein, we honor God for His guidance, wisdom, and involvement in our lives.
